The Shaffer Family

The Shaffer family arrived in Sharon in 2000. They came to Sharon because they wanted a quiet town and they could afford the house.

My father's side of the family came from Millerton, NY. My father's father was Henry Shaffer. My father's mother is Annette Shaffer. My father had three sisters named Linda Shaffer, Sheila Luminati, and Debbie Shaffer.

My mother's side of the family came from Wassaic, NY. My mother's father is Charles Thomas. My mother's mother is Ruth Thomas. My mother had nine brothers and sisters named Ronnie Thomas, Charlie Thomas, Steve Thomas, Debbie Thomas, Violetta Thomas, Cindy Thomas, Mike Thomas, and William Tomas.

My dad works at Suburban Propane. My mom works at The North West Center as the billing clerk.

I was born in 1995. I have two siblings named Tory Pruner, and Shyla Demattio. My family likes Sharon because it is a quiet town and they can afford it here.

I think that I will not stay in Sharon when I grow up. I would like to live with my brother, or I want to be near the ocean.

The Shapiro/Albert Family

The Shapiro/Albert family arrived in Sharon in 2003, but we lived in Salisbury from 1993 to 2003. We came to Sharon because my dad got a job at Hotchkiss School then we moved to Sharon because the house my mom liked came on the market.

My father's father is named Daniel Albert. My father's mother is named Eleanor Kagle Albert. My father had one brother named Michael Albert. My mother's father is named Allan Shapiro. My mother's mother is named Carol Jurgensen Shapiro.

My mother had two sisters named Kimberly Shapiro Lynn and Karan Shapiro. My father's side of the family originally came from Russia and Poland; my great-grandparents lived in New York City, New Jersey, and Malden, Massachusetts. My mother's side of the family came from Russia, Poland, and Germany. My mother's grandma, my great-grandma, lived in New York.

My dad works at Hotchkiss School as the Dean of Faculty and Associate Head of School. My mom is the Executive Director at the Sharon Historical Society.

I was born in Sharon, CT at the Sharon Hospital. I have two brothers named Brent Jacob (B.J.) Shapiro-Albert and Mitchell Shapiro-Albert. I have two step-brothers named Jason Mintz and Drew Mintz. We have six pets. Four are fish and two are dogs named Spike and Kismet.

My family likes Sharon because it is not overpopulated, the people are nice, and it has lots of beautiful scenery.

I think that I will stay in Sharon when I grow up because it is familiar to me and I like it here.
