Paine Family

The Paine family arrived in Sharon in 2000.They came to Sharon because they wanted a bigger house. My father's father is Charles Paine.

My father's mother is Nancy Millies. My mother's father is Henry Kading. My mother's mother is Anne Phillips. My mother had three brothers named Jeffrey, Kevin, and Eddie. My father's side of the family came from England. My mother's side of the family came from Germany.

My dad works at Salisbury Central School. My mom works at Sharon Hospital.

I was born at Sharon Hospital. I have one sibling named Lauren Paine. We have six pets. They are Simmer, Tate, Sammy, Oreo, Honey Bunny, and Twitch.

My family likes Sharon because it is nice and quiet, it does not have many people, and it is not by any big towns.

I think that I will stay in Sharon when I grow up because I really like that it's not that busy and I don't think that I could live in a big city with so many cars and all the pollution.

Paton Family

The Paton family arrived in Sharon in 1968. When my dad came here he was ten years old and in fourth grade. They came to Sharon because they wanted to move closer to New York City for their record company's business, but they also wanted to live in a pretty town with a pretty landscape.

My father's father is Charles Paton. My father's mother's name was originally Caroline Swenson, but was changed to Caroline Paton. My father has one brother who people call Rob. My mother's father was Dale Palmer. My mother's mother was Mary Palmer. My mother has eleven brothers and sisters named Jenny, Camille, Therese, Janet, Dale, Jeffery, Chris, Mary, Jean, Sandy and Lisa.

My father's side of the family moved here from Vermont. But they were mostly Swedish. My mother's side of the family came from Torrington, and then lived in Falls Village. But my mom's side of the family is mostly Lebanese.

I was born in Sharon. I have 3 siblings named: Linnea, Kaelan and Juliana. We have 2 pets. They are a goldfish named Glitter and a hamster name Chloe.

My dad works as a land caretaker of the Sharon Audubon Center.

My family likes Sharon because it is a very nice town to live in. It is really pretty here, so it is a great place to grow up too. My family also likes Sharon because it has a good public school and most of the people here are nice.

I don't think that I will stay in Sharon when I grow up even though it is a nice town. I think I won't want to live here because I might want to move somewhere bigger with more opportunities, but I still might live close by to my hometown.

Plunkett Family

The Plunkett family arrived in Sharon in September 1994. They came to Sharon because they wanted nearby jobs in a quieter place.

My father's father was Jim. My father's mother is Katherine. My father had five brothers and sisters named Mike, Steven, Timmy, Nancy, Christine. My father's side of the family came from Germany, Ireland, England, and Scotland.

My mother's father was Joseph and his parents came from Lebanon. My mother's mother is Mary and her parents were from Syria. My mother had one sister named Valerie.

My dad works as a contractor. My mom is a museum curator.

I was born in 1996. We have one pet. It is a dog named Dallas.

My family likes Sharon because it is quiet and there is less crime than Brooklyn.

I think that I will probably not stay in Sharon when I grow up because there aren't many job opportunities here that I am interested in.

The Purdy Family

The Purdy family arrived in Sharon in 1983. They came to Sharon because Grammy Pat (short for Patricia) wanted to build a house on the land she had bought. She also wanted to move closer to where she was born and raised.

My father's side of the family came from England. My father's father was Alfred. Alfred's father was from Nova Scotia. My father's mother is Patricia. My father had two brothers named Wayne and Steven Purdy. But Wayne died in a motorcycle accident. My mother's side of the family came from France then moved to Canada.

My mother's step father is Edward Murtaugh. My mother's mother is Claire Deblois. My mother had seven brothers and sisters named Denise, Joanne, Tom, Jim, Bill, Chuck, and Dave.

My dad works as a mason, and is the owner of PFC Construction Co. My mom does not have a job, she is just my mom.

I was born in Sharon, CT in 1996. I have three siblings named Nathaniel, Wayne, and John. We have four pets. They are our dog, Keisha, and our cats Roo, Samson, and Kiara. My family likes Sharon because there is a lot of space for farmland. Sharon is also not very populated.

I think that I will stay in Sharon when I grow up because Sharon has a lot of space, and it is nice to not live in a city, or town, but rather on the farm on Sharon Mountain.
